Information we collect
When you create an account, Chatible may collect your email, nickname, date of birth, account settings, notification choices, and basic activity such as sign-in or last active time.
If you use location features, Chatible stores only normalized city, state/region, and country. We do not store your street address, latitude, longitude, or exact GPS position.
Messages and saved conversations
Your chats are private by default. Chatible only reviews messages when needed for safety, reports, abuse prevention, or legal reasons.
Messages are stored in Chatible systems so conversations, support, safety review, and service history remain available. The other person stays anonymous unless they choose to share information.
You control what you voluntarily share in chat. If you share your email, phone number, social account, photos, documents, financial information, or identifying details with another person, Chatible cannot control how that person copies, saves, shares, or uses it.
Removing a conversation from your Chat page only hides it from your interface. It does not delete the conversation for the other person or from Chatible systems.
Registered users may save selected chats. Admins may access chat history when needed to operate the service, respond to reports, investigate abuse, or provide support.
How we use information
We use your email for account access, login codes, safety notices, and notifications you enable. If you agree, we may send Chatible updates, reminders, and community emails. You can opt out of optional emails at any time.
We may use account activity, such as sign-in or last active time, to decide when to send optional reminders. We do not use private messages to target marketing emails.
Analytics and cookies
Chatible may use Google Analytics or similar analytics tools to understand how people use the site, such as page views, usage events, device type, browser, session duration, approximate location, and traffic source. These tools may use cookies or similar identifiers. We do not intentionally send private message content, email addresses, phone numbers, or sensitive identifying information to Google Analytics.
You can control cookies in your browser or use choices provided by Google where available. If Chatible enables advertising or remarketing features in the future, we will update this policy and follow applicable notice or consent requirements.
How we share information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate Chatible, such as hosting, database, file storage, authentication, email, notifications, analytics, and anti-abuse tools. We may also disclose information when needed to comply with law, respond to valid requests, investigate abuse, protect users, or protect Chatible's rights and property.
Notifications
If you enable push notifications, Chatible stores the device subscription details needed to send message and match notifications. You can disable notifications from Account or from your browser/device settings.
Safety and Chatible review
Reported chats, feedback, and support requests may be reviewed by Chatible to respond to reports, improve safety, and operate the service.
Security, retention, and choices
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no system is completely secure. We keep information as needed to operate the service, maintain chat history, handle reports, support users, protect safety, and meet legal obligations.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or limits on processing of some personal information. We may need to retain some data for safety, anti-abuse, legal, or operational reasons.
People under 18
Chatible is for people who are 18 or older. If you believe someone under 18 has used Chatible or sent us information, contact us so we can review and respond appropriately.
Contact and choices
You can manage notifications and email settings from Account. For privacy questions, support, or feedback, contact hello@chatible.chat.
